About
Souraya Jureidini is a Lebanese photographer based in Paris, France. Her photography is instinctive — shot from the gut.

Through the lens, feelings take shape, fueled by the curiosity to better grasp the human condition. Image-making becomes a way to deconstruct the world and reveal its essence.

Her sensitivity, though sometimes overwhelming, finds a place of acceptance and play in this creative process — a means of tuning into parts of herself she once resisted.

The path was anything but linear. Although she picked up a camera at 14, it wasn’t until after earning a degree in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design in New York — and navigating detours through publishing, fashion, and consulting — that she accepted that graphic design wasn’t her calling. A humanitarian trip, driven by a need for introspection, eventually led her back to photography. Sometimes, it takes going far to come close.

She is currently completing the Creative Documentary program by Magnum Photos & Spéos in Paris (2024–2025). During this time, she is developing What Remains, a long-term project of a return to Lebanon. Her work delves into the contradictions that shape both personal identity and the life of the country, paying tribute to a spirit that endures against all odds.
